Why Rescue Trees

Everyone knows trees are important for us and for future generations. They pump out clean air, absorb toxins, create habitats for wildlife, prevent flooding and generally enrich our lives. But when a tree becomes stressed or starts to decline through disease, the instinct is too often to chop it down for safety rather than treat it and save it.

When it comes to significant ancient trees, getting the chainsaws out is the last thing anyone wants. That is why we started Tree Rescue: to save veteran trees and show, in a big way, that deep-soil enriched biochar treatment is more effective, cheaper and far less disruptive than felling and replanting. This is all about behaviour change.
