Oak Pollard

This dear old Oak pollard is tucked away within a housing development at Venator Place, Wimborne. The tree is identifiable on the 1888 1:2500 OS. In 1988 there was a move to fell this tree due to fungi. Luckily, the council over turned the decision as it was not Meripilus, but a young Beef Steak Fungus bracket. 30 years later, there still stands the tree!
